Introduction to Ty Newydd Holiday Accommodation
Ty Newydd is a traditional Welsh farmhouse and converted outbuildings which was built early/mid 1700’s. Ty Newydd is currently owned by Simon and Rachel Griffiths. Address: Ty Newydd, Llanfrynach, Brecon, POWYS, LD3 7LJ 01874 665797
Ty Newydd Farmhouse was extensively modernised between May 2008 and March 2010 to the satisfaction of our guests. Ty Newydd has 4 spacious rooms with ensuites (3 double, 1 twin). It must be noted that Ty Newydd’s character is due to its age and therefore is different to todays modern building design.
The guest breakfast room and conservatory (steps down) are on the ground floor. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the first floor with a staircase winding round to the left/hand rail on right. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are in the attic (second floor) with compromised head room in some areas. The stairs wind round to the left with hand rail on the right.
Dragonfly Cottage was developed in 2009. It is an old Coach House and set in the courtyard.
It is all one level, with a step up. It has an open plan dining/kitchen/sitting area. One Double is at one end of the property and a twin and family bathroom is at the other. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. There is electric heating and a wood burner.
Bullrush Barn was developed in 2012. It is an old Hay Barn and set in the courtyard, with private access from the far side, facing East. Allocated parking and private garden.
Ground floor is open plan dining/kitchen/sitting area, with toilet/utility. Two Doubles and one twin and family bathroom and a separate shower room (no toilet) are on the first floor. Stair access, winding to the right with hand rails on either side. Fully enclosed flat garden and patio, leading down to sunken patio and entrance

Studios apartment in courtyard which was once the Granary. Its conversion was completed in 2019. The entrance is on the first floor accessed via external stone steps.
Small but perfectly suited for short stays. It has kitchenette, and large walk in shower. Kingsize bed and small sitting area. There is a small mezzanine, with additional seating, which can be accessed via “Dutch stairs”. No outside space.
