No duck, no eggs, no ducklings
Last week I was very sad that the duck from the canal who had chosen our garden to lay her eggs vanished without trace. She had over come snow and harsh winds and had sat on them for so long. Unfortunately no duck, no eggs, no ducklings!
However a second pair of swans are nesting and laying eggs again on the canal and I have just found a black bird on her nest in our pigsty. We both got abit of a shock as she has decided to build her nest right at eye level, ohhh hello!
