They stayed for 3 nights over a weekend in a very chilly December however the cottage was very warm and cozy, well equipped as well as being dog friendly. “The four of us, two adult couples, had 5 wonderful days at beautiful Ty Newydd. Rachel and Sid are warm and welcoming hosts. Clean nice rooms, delicious breakfast and good advice from Sid about things to see and do in Brecon Beacons and the surrounding areas, made this a wonderful stay. We went on nice walks: the 4 Waterfalls Walk, a 5 hour round trip from the nearby pretty village of Llanfrynach to Fan Y Big, and along the canal to nearby pubs with good food within 30-40 minutes walk (or 3-5 min. by car). Beautiful to walk along the canal. We also did trips to the Big Pit National Coal Museum, Abergavenny, Brecon, the book town of Hay-on-Wye and the beaches nearby Swansea. If you want a quiet, relaxing holiday in lovely rural surroundings, this is the right place to stay”
