Bullrush Barn is a converted farm outbuilding, dating back to the mid 1700’s. It would have originally been used as a Hay barn. We converted this out building in 2012. It is one of a range of converted barns, in a traditional L shape with a Farmhouse and traditional courtyard at the centre. Bullrush Barn is a contemporary barn conversation, accredited Four Stars by Visit Wales. It is modern and comfortable with three bedrooms sleeping up to six people. It is set in the pretty courtyard of Ty Newydd Farmhouse and faces out onto its own private garden with the Welsh countryside beyond.
On the ground floor the barn is open plan, with two comfy sofas and an arm chair, flat screen TV, and Blu-ray player. The modern kitchen looks out onto a sunken patio which has bench seating. Beyond this is the raised patio and garden which has table chairs and BBQ. The Kitchen appliances are integrated, with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave. There are a two bar stools for seating on the kitchen island and a dining table seating six. There is a down stairs toilet room with small utility and washing machine.
This barn is lovely to heat, as it has thermostatically controlled under floor heating down stairs and cosy carpets and radiators upstairs, which means there is a nice ambient temperature throughout. We can moderate the temperature to the guests requirements in the colder months.
The first floor comprises of two double bedrooms with kingsize beds and a twin with sky light. There is a family bathroom and one shower room (no toilet, separate toilet down stairs). The ceiling heights are high with exposed beams throughout. It is furnished to a high standard, mixing contemporary décor with oak furniture and colourful soft furnishings.
Allocated parking is provided for 3 cars and there is a bike shelter and BBQ. We do allow up-to two dogs in this property. The garden is fully enclosed and the sunken patio off the kitchen is great for morning coffee and star gazing. We are able to provide a travel cot and high chair. WiFi is excellent and we do have an EV charging point on site, which we do charge for…..click here for more information.
We are within easy reach of Aldi, Morrisons and a Co-Op and many good local food shops. On our website there is a guide to local restaurants and pubs.
